About the event
SMP will be hosting Open Studio Nights in February and March 2026 from 6pm to 9pm. For interested participants, the first 20 minutes of each session will include a demonstration of common techniques for printing preparation and/or tool care. The schedule for these sessions is planned as follows:
Friday, February 6th - 6pm-9pm: Polishing/honing relief tools
Friday, February 20th - 6pm-9pm: Coating and cleaning screens for screenprinting
Friday, March 6th - 6pm-9pm: Graining lithography stones
Friday, March 20th - 6pm-9pm: Preparing copper plates for etching
The drop-in fee/cost for participation will be $10 for members/$15 for non-members. There is no charge for persons that have monthly rental agreements. SMP members with 10-day rental agreements will have the option to apply one day of their rental to participate in a session; however, given that the sessions are only 3 hours, the drop-in fee cost would be more economical.
