MEET & GREET: DELIA TOUCHE

Stop by to meet July Visiting Artist Delia Touche! Delia Touché is Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota and Assiniboine artist based in the midwest. They are a printmaker, bookmaker, and fiber artist. Through Delia’s creative practice they acknowledge the strained and complex relationship they have with their Dakota and Assinibione community and culture. Delia’s work incorporates elements from Indigenous cultural frameworks, belonging, family and pop culture to reimagine what it means to be both Native and contemporary. Their influences are rooted in Native American histories, humor and nuances. They have exhibited across the United States and abroad at venues such as Travemeise (Lübeck, Germany) San Francisco Center for the Book, The Art Galleries at Austin Community College (Austin, TX), Cranbrook Art Museum (Bloomfield Hills, MI), BULK Space (Detroit, MI), Minnesota Center for Book Arts, All my Relations Gallery (Minneapolis, MN), Die Graphische (Vienna, Austria) among others.
