Dates: Saturdays, 12-4pm - January 31st, February 7th, February 14th, February 21st, February 28th


In this workshop, each of the five sessions will be dedicated to a form of printmaking: Relief, Drypoint Etching, Monoprinting, and Screenprinting. The fifth session will be dedicated to delving further into the processes, and exploring future possibilities. Participants will also have time to complete any outstanding printing.


Printshop technician Emily C. Pittman will walk participants through the steps of each process, how to use relevant materials, and safety practices that apply. Participants will walk away with the basic skills to create prints using a variety of techniques.


Relief Printing: Participants will learn to carve designs into a block of linoleum, apply ink, and print onto paper using a printing press.


Drypoint Intaglio Etching: This session will involve etching designs onto a metal plate, inking the plate, and running it through a printing press
