Employment Opportunity: Executive Director 


Position: The Executive Director, in collaboration with the Board of Directors, will oversee all aspects of management and direction of SMP, services and programming, and the planning and implementation of development initiatives.
Salary: $42,000 annually 
Hours: 30 hours/week (some day time, evening, and weekend hours will be required due to printshop programming)
Vacation: 3 weeks’ paid vacation 
Benefits: Health & Dental Insurance  
Terms: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: July 1st, 2025

Job Duties:
Leadership:
The Executive Director will support SMP’s aims and objectives to focus and strengthen our vision, mission, and mandate, through ongoing 
Operational planning and management
Human Resources planning and management
Financial planning and management
Community relations/advocacy
Studio Oversight

Qualifications:
Knowledge of printmaking (contemporary and historical) and a commitment to artist-run culture;
Experience in successful grant writing and working with funding agencies;
Experience with artist-run organizations, project implementation and events creation;
Experience working on or with a Board of Directors;
Experience with fundraising for operations, projects and capital needs;
Experience in mediums of printmaking;
Experience with financial management, accounting, and budgeting;
Capacity to be self-directed, to lead, and to work on a team;
Develop, maintain and grow relationships with artists, arts organizations, communities, businesses and government leaders.  
Experience with and/or willingness to learn and engage with anti-oppression practices.
